The New Vernon Volunteer Fire Department

We are neighbors

The individuals who answer your emergency calls for fire, medical, and vehicle rescue services in Harding Township comprise a team of dedicated volunteers. These volunteers operate A heavy Rescue Truck, Mini Pumper, Two Class A Pumper Engines, a Tanker Truck, and a Chief's vehicle. Their services cover a 20 square-mile community and are provided by your friends and neighbors. Since their establishment in 1921, they have continued to serve as volunteers.

Always at the ready.

The objectives of a mass casualty drill are to test and improve the coordination and communication between different agencies and organizations involved in emergency response, identify gaps in resources and training, evaluate response times, and improve overall emergency preparedness. After the drill is completed, a debriefing session is typically conducted to review the performance of each agency and identify areas for improvement. To learn more, watch our video.
